Doesn't make sense to me. Why would they make a big announcement at NAMM, launch the webpage, get it out to distributors, etc. Akai was bound to have known about the upcoming tablet, and are likely an Apple iPhone hardware developer, so should be in the loop.
Could there have been a problem in manufacturing? Usually if that happens, a shipment delay is announced.

I reckon they've just rebranded it the synthstation25 as per the updated news item. Odd that they've removed the direct info though.
