Christmas Presents for the Mobile Musician: Day 6


A friend of mine has one of these and we've used for it for jamming in the open air. I was really impressed not only with the output, but also with how long the battery lasts.

Not particularly cheap I know, but one of these will last you a good long while.

    I've had one of these for several years. It's really durable. It's an electric guitar amp that runs off AA batteries! It's got a handful of Roland/Boss guitar amp simulations and the very basic effects you need. Plus it's got an aux input so you can run your iPhone/iPod or anything else through it at the same time. You can also run an acoustic pickup or self-powered mic into it. For a tiny 5-6 inch speaker the sound is pretty damn good.

    Highly recommended.

    I plan on using it as the PA to demo PatternMusic at MacWorld SF this February.
