I am a bit surprised that no one has ported
MilkyTracker over to the iPhone. There have been no updates to the
MilkyTracker site since June last year, which is a shame. I'm hoping that the site will continue and maybe there'll be an update or two, who knows.
Anyway, even if there is no iPhone port I think I'll have to give
MilkyTracker another look, and try it with a keyboard too.
Who needs Milkytracker when you have Sunvox? Perhaps the developers thought there was no hope left? ;)
ReplyDeleteTrue, but you'd still expect them to update for other platforms though
ReplyDeleteIf you read their forums they seem to have the attitude that since it's opensource (their last big update) they'll leave it up to somebody else to port. Now the question is.... why hasn't an indy dev taken it upon himself to port? With an OSX verion already done it shouldn't be too terribly hard.
ReplyDeleteI tried this ages ago. I'll have to go back to it now.
ReplyDeleteSunvox is better and on the iPhone already
ReplyDeleteWith sunvox you can easily create samples with echo and all sorts of other effects. As for milkytracker, you have to make the sample with barely any effects which gives restrictions. Those restrictions make milkytracker have much more freedom when dealing with audio layers.
DeleteDoes sunvox create XM modules?
ReplyDelete"Does sunvox create XM modules?"
ReplyDeleteNot sure, but it can certainly play them.
