Why is this news? Well, Little Boots is one of the few artists I know of who (recently) performed live with a tenori-on and a stylophone. Worth a mention.
Her new album is available for pre-order on iTunes (button below), and although not everyone's cup of tea does have the previously mentioned tenori-on and stylophone track on it.
If I had an extra "grand" to spend on a tenori I'd be rockin it at shows too. But that ain't gonna happen. I'd take 5 pieces of $200 studio gear over that one. This brings up a good question..... why hasn't somebody made a tenori clone for the iphone? (and not that excuse for one already done a while back) Something that'd be a mix of beatmaker, isyn, and noise.io but with the interface of the tenori. Synth capabilities + loading your own samples too. There are plenty of great appz available, but none has been ground breaking for me.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about apps. I think that they are getting better all the time and people are pushing the hardware and OS constantly, but there's no Bhajis Lops as yet.
ReplyDeleteI think it'll get there in time, let's face it, it hasn't been a year as yet!
