So, is the iPad the future of music making?

Music Tech seems to think so. I don't think I'll disagree.

Don't thousands of us know that already?
Magazines used to be ahead of the curve, now they're constantly playing catch up.
Considering the price of printed mags, I'll buy several super cool apps instead - then I can read about how super cool they are in six months time.

the present AND future, just like full fledged computers before it. :)

like the article pull says, "exciting and affordable" world of mobile music making. the iPad and App Store have done so much to democratize "computer" music making. for a nominal investment in hardware, anyone can produce high quality sounds with inexpensive and powerful apps these days.

it wasn't all too long ago that the cost of an iPad and some good apps would only get you a cassette based MTR, and that's it! now, we can make full productions anywhere, anytime, and for cheap. :)
