iPhone App Directory

Windows Phone Marketplace has 40,000 apps apparently

40,000 is a lot, but the last time I looked there was nothing for mobile music at all, and I just can't summon up the effort to go and look again. If anyone does know of any real music apps on Windows Phone, let me know.

"IOS pioneered fart apps, you should remember that."

And we should also remember that the first fart app made that developer an instant millionaire over night (well over Xmas '08!)

I wonder what Windows mobile app maker will make a million over night too?

    mmm......

Unless all the PC fanbois imagine that iOS never happened (quite probably will do?), that million ain't happening!

Fart apps on windozemobile in abundance already!. :p

Yes, there are more Flash apps in the AppStore than apps made with Gamesalad or Unity3D.

    Discuss.

    Abobo's Big Adventure!!

This Flash game will be great, but will probably be rejected by Apple because its a mash up of Nintendo games, and Apple does not want this kind of stuff in their store.. just like Apple rejects apps that have satire in them..

    Satire!!!.. dammit..

  25. IOS is nice for music, but for everything else its just too clean, too Walmart-y.

My mobile devices must accept satire, violence, sex (from everyone, not only Playboy and S.I.), I'm not a baby, and I don't like how Apple rejects all that stuff and does not let me decide what I can do with the device I own..

So yeah, I only use it for music.

The Mac and its fans constitute the equivalent of a religion. This religion is based on an origin myth for Apple Computer, heroic and savior legends surrounding its co-founder and current CEO Steve Jobs, the devout faith of its follower congregation, their belief in the righteousness of the Macintosh, the existence of one or more Satanic opponents, Mac believers proselytizing and converting nonbelievers, and the hope among cult members that salvation can be achieved by transcending corporate capitalism.

I'm interested in your opinion on wether they'll be able to address the audio latency issues. I know the diverse range of hardware can't help, but surely they could improve it if they wanted too....?
Unless they think it's not worth it, because music making apps aren't a focus for them? But why not? Wouldn't it sell more of both hardware and software?
There must be some reason as to why they haven't addressed these problems. So many people would benefit from the differences between iOS and Android platforms.

And the only reason windoze mobile also has zillions of fart apps too is that windows mobile programmers also have zilch imagination.

If you fart into Nanostudio via blowing off into the microphone you you will then be able to play your farts on the keyboard as well as add flanging and echo!

If you're really clever you can apply a different fart to each of the pads on the TRG page, allowing you to modify the color of your farts in many ways not previously known.

    Does that answer your question?

    ReplyDelete

    @lala

You're not going to work on a pc now are you?..

    ReplyDelete
  148. no, i like to have fun :)
im back to osX for a while, it makes me feel so stupid every time i want to touch the display :/

...b b but OSX is a PC, even Steve Jobs said so when he spoke about post-PC devices.

But don't worry about touching your monitor like that, soon OSX and IOS will probably converge into a single OS, as they are the same OS at heart, just with a different shell. Its just a matter of time before Apple start selling touchscreen Macs and allows IOS apps to run on OSX.

BTW, have you ever tryed a Modbook? I have used one a couple of time and it was pretty good.

The one I played with worked with both fingers and stylus, but it was not multitouch.

"please some1 talk me out of getting an ipad2"

That I can't do, you're already sold. But its going to be a gamble, you could buy it and a few months later Apple will release the ipad3 for the same price.

    Do you love gambling?

    ReplyDelete
  154. no i hate gambling and i always bought all my macs just be4 a major update, may be i'll learn the lesson this time,
a airbook touch (with iosX & siri) would be a dream come true,
come on apple u can do it, dont wait to long!

  155. Anonymous11:43 pm

A airbook touch would be awesome, especially if you can detach the keyboard.

The only thing that will be annoying is how there won't be a camera or microphone until the airbook touch 2 will be released.

    ReplyDelete
  156. its as always a question of lust/trust

    ReplyDelete
  157. no need to detach the keyboard, just turn the display by 270 degrees :)

    ReplyDelete
  158. Anonymous11:50 pm

"no need to detach the keyboard, just turn the display by 270 degrees"

This is cool too, but I'd still prefer something that detach like the Acer Transformer. Then your airbook becomes an ipad. And you can connect the keyboard for long typing sessions, or to use it as a cover.

For the last few comments before 200, I'd like to thank all the Nintendo DS homebrew developers.

Its a shame DS homebrew died with IOS and Android, but there are some really nice apps that have been made.

    A small, but poignant hommage.
