Tascam iM2 Mic for iPhone and iPad arrives


This looks like a big step in the right direction for mics for iOS. Tascam's new iM2 should retail at around $79 which isn't too bad, and the iM2 has it's own built in pre-amp as well.

I'm impressed. I want one now.

    Yes, something with a line in/out would get my money for sure. The mic is nice though if you want a field recorder so I could see the utility. But apps these days are pretty self sufficient and an interface that could connect them to the outside world would take mobile music to the next level.
