So what is going on with Yamaha?

Since the TNR-i launched the other day lots of you have been asking why Yamaha's new apps are not showing up in the US and Canadian stores. I don't know why I'm afraid, but I'm going to try and find out.

I'm going to tweet all the Yamaha twitter accounts that I think are relevant and see what I get back. It would really help if you could retweet them if possible. Let's see where it gets us.

Good work and good luck getting any sense out of Yamaha. The daft thing is that the app description informs everyone of the version 2.1 of the firmware, yet you can only find it by trawling through a Japanese Tenori blog and having a guess when you press a button on there for download. Sure enough, the download does contain various language PDFs and the firmware update....but it's not well publicised via non-Japan Yamaha websites.

All of this doesn't surprise me though, because in the past the company has kept any update well under wraps and have been nearly completely oblivious to issues with the firmware...so anyone expecting monthly updates to the app might be in for a surprise when nothing comes. I hope I'm wrong though.

Hello. It's coming soon. Yamaha has applied to Apple to release TNR-i for all over the world at the same time, but Apple has been taking time for the review for the US and Canada.(I don't know why...) It should come in a few days. Please wait! Thanks.
