Sprak Promo Code Give Away
Sprak has arrived and I have 10 promo codes to give away thanks to the developer Johan Larsby. To win a code all you need to do is to answer this question:
"Name two kinds of sounds that Sprak can make".
Send your answer via email to palmsounds.comp@me.com by the 8pm GMT 1st of December. Please remember that promo codes can only be used in the US iTunes app store so if you don't have a US account you won't be able to redeem a code.
Just over 2 weeks left for NanoComp
If you haven't got your tracks in as yet then get them in soon. Check out the tracks already entered into the competition here.
More good things coming from Synthetic Bits
A tweet the maker of the excellent Funkbox drum machine:
Next up is a FunkBox 2.0 update, and a totally new fun music app. We hopefully will have both done by the end of the year. Happy holidays!
Good stuff to look forward to soon then!

Getting Started with Arduino 2.0 Kit
Maker Shed has the 'getting started with Arduino V2 kit' in the store now. The new Arduino UNO is available elsewhere, and if all you want is a book then you could do a lot worse than the 'getting started with Arduino' book.
Online Music Production Linkedin Group set up
There's a new group been set up on Linkedin for online music production by the excellent Audio Silver Lining. So if you're using Linkedin why not take a look here.
So should there be one for mobile music too?

Thinking about GuitarJack?
Then check out the reviews here. I have to say that I've been very happy with mine so far. I keep meaning to finish off a video I started making of it using the line in jack.
The audio in quality was excellent and no cross talk. If I don't post it soon then pester me!

Sprak has arrived
I like noise apps! Here's a great new one.
Sprak is a noise app, noise as in crackles and phat distorted drones.
Sprak is an instrument for people who loves to experiment with noise.
Sprak was born out of a need to play with evolving noisy noise while riding the train.
You could also make sounds that sound a bit like hypnotoad.
Still not decided if you should shell out .99cents for this most awesomely awesome glitched out noised curcuitbentish app? check out the soundexamples over at http://www.tinkerteam.se/?page_id=87
Polychard for iPad
Looks like an interesting app for making music rapidly. I'm going to give Polychord a try very soon and I'll let you know what I think. Here's the app's description though:
Whether you're an absolute beginner or an experienced musician, you'll love polychord. Write songs or play along to your favorite tunes. You can use up to 10 fingers at once on the polychord to create chord progressions, melodies and harmonies, and there are lots of beats to choose from. When you're feeling retro, turn on bitshift to give polychord that 8bit sound.
