A new recording / looping app arrives for the iPhone.
Record, play and loop up to four simultaneous audio tracks with FieldLoop. Supplied with a free kit including bassdrum, snare, hi-hats and noise loop, you can also record your own sounds (microphone required for older iPod models) and save your "kits" for future use.
Great for field recording, building collages of sounds and playing with looping rhythms.
Tap the numbered pads to play the assigned sounds, tap the "loop" buttons to loop a particular pad sound. To record, "arm" a track by sliding the record switch then tap the pad to start/stop recording. Switch off recording mode and tap the numbered pad to hear your new sound.
ProLoop is far superior to this.
